Most of my recent work has made use of mixed media blending ink, markers, watercolors and acrylics. As a child we vacationed in Wales in the UK. One of my first influences was Simon Van De Put who had a studio on the farm where stayed each year. His style blended pencil, watercolor and ink and I still use those techniques to this day. The fluid nature of watercolor contrasts with the architectural sharp lines of pen and ink and it’s one of my favorite styles.
